MEGA DITTOS

Reading your columns reminds me of the first time I listened to Rush Limbaugh and, hearing the opinions I held so eloquently expressed and presented, I felt relief that finally a spokesperson was, at least, venting what I felt. Now, with publications likes yours, I am beginning to see things said that I am saying (mumbling) to myself and friends. I pray for the day when Cardinals Law and Mahony and their degenerate lot disappear forever from the Church hierarchy.

A FEW CORRECTIONS

Thank you for the article ["I'm Outta Here," November Mission]. However, I must note a few corrections to the article.

1) I was an actual member of the Episcopal Church as opposed to "looking at it" for 10 years. 2) I joined the Catholic Church in 1996. 3) You incorrectly identify Monsignor Murray in the statement, "Shepherd said he responded to Murray's last statement in writing...." That correspondence was with Monsignor Davis. 4) St Mary's in Huntington Beach DOES have a diocesan-approved RCIA program, contrary to Monsignor Davis' and my comments.

LIKES THE PAPER

This is an excellent newspaper! Very, very informative, very well written! I enjoy reading it every month. Thank you for doing such a wonderful job for us "real" Catholics!

GOOD FOR A LAUGH

I only just today discovered your websight via a link on Seattle Catholic. Your "Roamin' Catholic" church reviews provided me with what may be my only all out belly laugh of the day. I too travel around to the different "Amchurches" in my midwest archdiocese every once in a while for the "fun" of it, but I'm afraid I could never write about them in the amusing manner in which you write about your visits.

Keep up the good and hilarious work.

GODDESS SAINTS

In the tapestries on the walls of the new Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Los Angeles are one or more women pictured as sleeveless as the ancient Greek goddess Athena. Inside St. Anthony's Greek Orthodox Church in Pasadena, the tapestry shows women as lovely saints, wearing long sleeves. Pictured are St. Barbara, St. Catherine and a few others.

Why would Cardinal Mahony make the cathedral inferior to any Orthodox church?
